Getting Started

How do I download and install done.?

done. is available for macOS, Windows, Linux, and iOS:

  • Desktop: Visit our download page to get the latest version for your operating system.
  • iOS: Download from the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
How do I create an account?

When you first open done., you'll be prompted to create an account using your email address. You can also sign in with your existing Google or Apple account for a faster setup.

Connecting Integrations

Which apps can I connect?

done. currently supports these integrations:

  • Communication: Gmail, Slack
  • Calendar: Google Calendar
  • Transportation: Uber
  • Food & Groceries: Uber Eats, Instacart

More integrations including Apple Calendar, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp are coming soon!

How do I connect a new integration?
  1. Go to Settings in the app
  2. Select Integrations
  3. Choose the app you want to connect
  4. Follow the prompts to authorize access

Your credentials are stored securely on your device and never shared with our servers.

Why won't my integration connect?

Try these troubleshooting steps: check your internet connection, verify you're signed into the correct account, disconnect and reconnect the integration, then restart the app. If the issue persists, please contact support.

Privacy & Data

Where is my data stored?

Your personal data—emails, contacts, calendar events, and messages—stays on your device. done. uses a local-first architecture, so your data never leaves your device. We only store minimal account information (like your email) in the cloud for authentication purposes.

Is my data used for training?

No. Your personal data is never used to train models. When done. helps complete tasks, only anonymized, context-stripped information is sent for processing. Your actual names, email addresses, and personal details never leave your device.

How do I delete my account and data?

You can delete your account at any time:

  1. Go to SettingsAccount
  2. Select Delete Account
  3. Confirm the deletion

Since your data is stored locally, uninstalling the app removes all local data. Your cloud account data is deleted within 30 days of account closure.

Can I export my data?

Yes! You can export your data anytime from SettingsData & PrivacyExport Data. Your data is exported in a standard format that you can use with other applications.

Account Management

How do I reset my password?
  1. On the login screen, click Forgot Password
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Check your email for a reset link
  4. Click the link and create a new password
Note: If you signed up using Google, Apple, or another login provider, you don't have a done. password. Instead, manage your password through your provider's account settings.
How do I change my email address?

Go to SettingsAccountEmail to update your email address. You'll need to verify your new email before the change takes effect.

Note: If you signed in using Google, Apple, or another login provider, your email is linked to that account and cannot be changed within done.. To use a different email, you'll need to create a new account.

Troubleshooting

The app is running slowly

Try these steps to improve performance:

  • Restart the app
  • Check if your device has sufficient storage space
  • Close other applications to free up memory
  • Make sure you're running the latest version of done.
My data isn't syncing

If your integrations aren't syncing:

  1. Update the app — Make sure you're running the latest version of done.
  2. Check your internet connection
  3. Verify your integrations are still connected in Settings
  4. Try a manual sync by pulling down on the main screen
  5. Disconnect and reconnect the affected integration

Tip: Enable auto-updates to always have the latest fixes and features.

I found a bug. How do I report it?
